A New Catio, a Garden Update and Pink Hair.
Hello wonderful human beings, I apologize for not having a blog post last week, I got distracted with other things and decided not to make a post because I didn't have much to say, but because I am working on other future posts that require more research. I have also been working on drawing a lot lately.
So, first things first. On the last post I mentioned changing my hair, and I promise I would share a picture so here it is.
Okay, now that my debt is out of the way, lets talk about the garden, the cats and my drawings.
If you follow me on Instagram you already know that we have veggies growing on our garden. We currently have several heads of lettuce, herbs such as basil, lemon balm and cilantro, we have five beetroots, over a dozen carrots, six potato plants, two tomato plants currently growing ten tomatoes, and finally one cucumber plant that has a baby cucumber growing.
We also have beautiful flowers and other decorative plants.
It truly has become my little paradise. I have learned so much from the garden; patience, hope and acceptance of change. I love it so much, I think Brandon is getting tired of my daily updates, but I just can't stop.
As for the cats, you might be asking yourself "what is a catio?" Well, just think of a patio but instead of having a regular door, it comes out of the window, and instead of being for humans, it is for cats.
It might sound crazy, but since our cats love going outside and Walter can not be trusted to be outside by himself, we decided to get a catio. Brandon's dad (my awesome father in law) built and installed the catio that is now, our cats' favorite place to hang out.
Isn't it awesome?
I am very thankful we have it, the cats can enjoy the outside all day long, and I don't have to be running after Walter the whole time which has given me a lot of time to work on my drawings.
Last week I decided to start daily drawings. I spend half and hour on a simple drawing, with the goal of getting my inspiration going for other bigger or more intricate pieces.
Here is what I have done so far:
If you want to follow and/or participate on the 100 days of half an hour drawings, make sure to follow me on Instagram @samayoaandrea.
That is all for this week, I hope you come back next week, and until then don't forget to be kind, spread love and do the things that make you happy.
