A New Month

Hello wonderful human beings, how's your week going? Are you ready for April? I am excited for it.

March was a weird month for me. It wasn't a very productive month because a lot of unexpected things happened, and I am not very good with unexpected things. Everyday was pretty much different, meaning that I couldn't really use my regular routine, and that has me feeling lost. But the beginning of the month means I can "reset" my routine and start all over. No more unexpected things, please.

Last week I showed you a picture of the seedlings I have started, and a lot has changed since then.

I am now moving the plants to their individual containers and I am running out of space. Probably by next week, my entire kitchen will be full of plants. Soon you'll start seen pictures of the actual garden outside. Are you as excited as I am?

I know that last week I also showed you my April cover page when I talked about watercolors but I wanted to share my journal for this month, so you'll have to see it again.

I have only done week one and two because I only have a couple of pages left so chances are, I will need to transition to my new journal in the middle of the month and I haven't decided yet how to do that.

Another thing I did on my journal recently was a lettering spread about Autism and Neurodiversity Awareness Month, which is this month.

Neurodiversity is defined as variations in the way the human brain processes information. The exact definition as per the Oxford Dictionary is "the range of differences in individual brain function and behavioral traits, regarded as part of normal variation in the human population (used especially in the context of autistic spectrum disorders)."

The more that scientist study nthe brain, the more they have come to realizing that there are different ways in which the brain can work while still working properly. I have a sticker on my computer that says "Autism is not an processing error, it is a different operating system" and that is the easiest way I can think of explaining neurodiversity.

If you ever switched between an iphone and an android phone, or between a Mac and a windows computer, you know that they work differently. It might make some specific things easier or harder depending on which one you are using, but overall they are both computers or phones, and they their job and work perfectly fine despite being different. We just need to stop acting like different means bad/inferior.

That is all for today, please let me know your thoughts down below.

Before I go, here is a quote by Albert Einstein "everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."

Until next week, share your love with everyone around you (especially yourself) and don't forget to do something that makes you happy.
